Summary

 

Responsible in overseeing the execution of business strategy with holistic view in Risk Management. Simultaneously, perform an advisory role for matters related to Risk Management from business perspective to minimize risk exposure. Possess business and risk management mindset. Ability to operate at optimal efficiency and capability to drive the business growth in line with the Bank’s target and aspirations.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Support business growth by providing expertise analysis and advice on risk management related matters for business strategy execution.
  • Has the competency to challenge the relevant stakeholders at all levels to ensure a valuable and constructive business strategy is being deployed and implemented.
  • Analyze the risk involved in business initiated projects and its financial impacts to the business including evaluate and determine the level of risk involved
  • Implement strategy/ establish new process and perform analysis on managing effective risk exposure by safeguarding adequate risk mitigation across all divisions under GCBOR
  • Responsible to determine, identify, mitigate the potential consequences of performing a business strategy, including reading and analyzing financial data for business decisions for all divisions under Group Chief Business Officer Retail
  • Liaise with all levels on ways to drive results forward, making sure all internal roles are performing at the highest level.
  • Create reports, summaries, presentations, and process documents to display results related to risk, credit and any other assigned tasks.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to all internal policies/guidelines and external regulatory requirements related to risk and credit matters
  • Works closely with senior management in making in assessing and evaluating risk involves in the business owner strategic decisions
  • Manage internal and relation i.e. within divisions under Group Chief Business Officer Retail  of other external party including to provide feedback on any queries pertaining to Bank’s portfolio.

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Degree or master degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Accounting or other equivalent business related qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in banking industry with experience in risk and credit related
  • Exceptional communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to build network across a variety of functions at various levels.
  • Professional certification in Risk and Credit matters is an added advantage 
  • Critical thinking with the ability to quickly analyze business strategy, credit data, risk mitigation and decision making
  • Experience in managing risk and credit matters in financial institution environment
  • Highly numerate with great attention to detail
