Duties & Responsibilities


Monitoring of Financing Accounts under Portfolio:

  • Monitor and track financing repayments to maintain a high-quality asset/financing portfolio for SME Banking, including updating relevant information and follow-up activities in the shared folder/lead schedule for supervisor’s review.
  • Keep supervisors informed of all material developments, particularly any signals or potential red flags related to customers' financing accounts.
  • Assist or jointly follow up with the Collection/Recovery Team on Past Due But Not Impaired (PDNI) or Delinquent and Impaired accounts by employing all applicable measures or tools (soft and hard approach) in line with the Bank’s internal collection guidelines/roadmap.
  • Assist the supervisor/Head in preparing periodic updates/reports on the status of asset quality or performance review of the asset portfolio of SME Banking (e.g., Watchlist Accounts, R n R program) for relevant internal and external stakeholders, such as Business Support, Finance Division, Compliance, Tabung Haji, etc.
  • Conduct surprise visits to the customer’s main operating business/premises and/or charged properties (if any) for Delinquent accounts.
  • Assist relationship/accounts managers in monitoring and ensuring the collection of sinking funds as per the terms and conditions of the facility/financing (if any).
  • Liaise/communicate with panel solicitors to seek legal advice and follow up on the latest status/report (if any).


Administrative and Support:

  • Prepare credit proposals for R&R or any Repayment Assistance Programme (RA) for delinquent or impaired accounts as and when required for Financing Committees’ approval.
  • Notify CGC/SJPP of any changes in the terms and conditions of existing accounts following the R&R/RA exercise upon approval (if any).
  • Prepare the Letter of Offer (LO) for the R&R or RA and liaise with the Credit Admin Dept. for the completion of security documentations and system maintenance.
  • Liaise with Business Support of SME Banking and Credit Admin to request security documents for litigation and cut-over account purposes.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders (e.g., Product Management Department, Credit Admin, Branches, etc.) to resolve any operational or system issues related to customer’s financing.
  • File reminders and legal notices in a consistent manner.



  • Designated as an administrator for Scheme of Guarantee matters (i.e., SJPP/CGC) on new submissions, approval, and guarantee fees. Monitor and follow up with SJPP/CGC and internal stakeholders such as Finance, CAD, GA & RM.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance with all internal policies/guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
  • Perform any other duties/assignments as directed/assigned by the superior and Head as per business requirements from time to time.


Job Requirements

  • Solid understanding of Islamic Banking concepts and products.
  • Experience in Islamic Product Development and recovery management is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated creativity in designing new products, programs, and sales ideas.
  • Computer literacy with a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
