Assistant Manager, Bahasa Malaysia Copywriter, Business Marketing Division
Duties & Responsibilities
Content Development & Editorial Excellence
- Ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand voice in all written materials.
- Draft, edit, and proofread high-quality banking-related content in Bahasa Malaysia, including:
- Product brochures and promotional materials
- Website and digital platform content
- Customer communications (letters, notices, campaigns)
- Internal memoranda and corporate documentation.
Translation & Localisation
- Translate and localise financial, regulatory, and corporate materials from English to Bahasa Malaysia with precision, contextual accuracy, and cultural sensitivity.
- Ensure terminology consistency and compliance with banking and Shariah-related standards.
Strategic Marketing & Business Support
- Continuously develop business-focused and results-driven marketing initiatives to support the achievement of Annual KPIs across Bank Islam’s brands.
- Contribute to strategic campaigns that strengthen brand positioning, customer engagement, and commercial outcomes.
Executive & Corporate Communications
- Support executive-level communications, including speeches, official statements, board papers, and shareholder materials.
- Assist in crafting key corporate messages aligned with the Bank’s strategic objectives.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines in a highly regulated environment.
- Coordinate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
Quality Assurance & Research
- Conduct thorough fact-checking and research to validate financial data, regulatory references, and product information.
- Maintain consistency in tone, terminology, and brand positioning across all communication channels.
Regulatory & Compliance Alignment
- Ensure all written materials adhere to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) guidelines and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure content accuracy, governance standards, and regulatory alignment.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or any related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience in a related field; experience in banking or financial services will be an added advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
- Strong team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute effectively in cross-functional environments.
