Assistant Manager, Regulatory Compliance
Summary
To ensure key control solutions to regulatory requirements are fully developed and implemented by BU/SU.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the superior to ensure new regulations and requirements are localised and operationalised through appropriate policies, procedures and documentations.
Ensure assurance processes are in line with the industry standards and Division’s expectation.
Participate in all products / services / channel reviews.
Monitors RCSA and RAS.
Provide advisory support to BU/SU on compliance issues pertaining to policies and governance.
Meet all expectations set by Superior on internal deadlines, ad-hoc assignments and additional task assigned.
Must be able to multitask and work in a talent pool instead of a concentrated scope of work.
Ensure adherence and compliance to all internal policies / guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
Responsible to review and update the relevant Compliance policies, manuals and guidelines.
Any other duties / assignment as and when directed / assigned by the superior as per business requirement from time to time.
Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in law / Finance / Accountancy / Economics / Business
Years of Experience
3 years
Specific Skills/Knowledge and Certification Required
A strong understanding of the relevant legislation and regulatory requirements issued by Bank Negara Malaysia, Securities Commission, PIDM, etc.
A proven track record of identifying, assessing and advising on the impact of regulatory change and the actions required to minimize any impact.
A detailed understanding of the systems and processes involved in the development and launch of new products and their subsequent distribution.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, combined with an ability to build strong working relationships.
Ability to perform a variety of functions at various levels internally & externally
Ability to multi-task, highly numerate with great attention to detail and must be able to manage expectations and work independently.
