Job Description: 

To support the development, maintenance, and operation of the iTradeSS system and other IT-related functions. The role includes vendor coordination, system testing, database maintenance, compliance, and technical support to ensure smooth and secure operations in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities:
System Development & Support – iTradeSS
• Assist the Head of Section – IT (Development) in developing, maintaining, and supporting the iTradeSS system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by users related to iTradeSS.
• Liaise with vendors for system integration and customization tasks.
• Prepare and submit change requests or problem logs to relevant vendors.
• Compile and deploy customized software on the UAT server, perform unit/system testing, and coordinate issue resolution with vendors.
• Facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with relevant departments.
• Maintain records of development activities, including classification of requests (mandatory, urgent, etc.).
• Ensure all development and support tasks are completed within the stipulated timeline.
• Perform monthly backup of the iTradeSS application for Disaster Recovery (Oracle Database Restore and Recovery).
• Prepare necessary Technical Specification and Functional Specification documents in line with system requirements and business needs.

System Development & Support – Web Development.
• Design, develop, and maintain responsive and secure web applications based on business requirements.
• Translate functional specifications into technical implementation using modern web technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Angular, ASP.NET, etc.).
• Develop backend APIs, database integration, and server-side logic using suitable frameworks and languages (e.g., Node.js, .NET Core, Java, PHP, or Python).
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and code optimization to ensure system stability and performance.
• Ensure web applications are compatible across browsers, platforms, and devices.
• Implement application-level security measures, including input validation, session control, and access restrictions.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and business analysts to ensure user-friendly interfaces and seamless user experience.
• Prepare technical and functional specification documents for all development work.
• Deploy, monitor, and support applications in development, UAT, and production environments.
• Conduct and support unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Maintain documentation of changes, enhancements, and system configurations.
• Support incident management and resolution related to web application issues.
• Review and assess new requests or reported issues to determine if internal handling is sufficient or vendor support is required.
• Adhere to internal policies, IT security standards, and applicable regulations..
