Job Description:
- Closely work with Treasury Division, Product Management Division to design and develop various Derivative solutions and Structured Product to meet customer hedging and investment needs.
- To be thoroughly conversant with the product Guidelines and other related guidelines, procedures and standards issued within the Bank or external Guidelines issued by the governing authorities from time to time i.e. BNM, SC, PIDM, and LHDN.
- To make cross referencing to the guidelines as to ensure the development/ enhancement of the product is following the internal and external guidelines.
- To Conduct Market intelligence and competitors’ analysis
- To make quality review of all products/services offerings (product assessment) and its related documentation submitted by Product Manufacturer.
- To prepare and complete information required by Bank Islam Product Development Guidelines and SCOR guidelines as to facilitate approval on the proposed establishment of new products and its marketing and distribution of process.
- To facilitate stakeholders review and approval on all documents for proposed establishment of new funds/product/services and its marketing and distribution of process.
- To coordinate with Wealth Business Review Department on the FIMM Lodgment of Funds, BNM Notification and any submission to the SC with regards to the marketing and distribution of process.
- To facilitate with Wealth Business Review Department on Distribution Agreement and/or Service Level Agreement/Standards for all existing and new product and services.
- To report to Head, BSD on any liaison with ERU, Key independent stakeholders, governing authorities on matters relating to the product development/management.
- To coordinate Product training in relation to new product roll-out.
- To update and maintain product information in portal and website.
- To provide support and assistance to Wealth Operations & Fulfillment on User Reference Guide i.e. Manual/ Memo for Branches as and when necessary.
- To ensure RCSA on product development and are completed on a timely manner and submitted to the respective department/division
- To liaise with the ERU Retail Banking, Legal Division, Compliance Division, Shariah Division, Risk Management Division, Information Security and Governance Data Division, Internal Audit Division, and relevant Regulatory bodies in respect of clarification of rules and regulations, request of advice or waiver etc. and to maintain a good working relationship with the said parties.
- Ensure adherence and compliance to all internal policies/guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
- Any Other duties/ assigned as and when directed /assigned by the superior as per business requirement from time to time.
Qualification
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related disciplined.
- IPPC, CIFP, CFA, UTC, TBE/ PCE, CEILI licensing will be added advantage.
- Years of Experience
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in managing product development in the finance industry, preferably in fund management, unit trust companies, Takaful companies, or business development units of retail, commercial, or investment banks.
Specific Skills/Knowledge and Certification Required
- Should have a basic knowledge of Shariah laws/principles.
- Well-versed in product structure, i.e., various investment products such as equities, fixed income, unit trust funds, and other sophisticated investment instruments would be an added advantage.
- Well-versed in the regulatory framework associated with investment products.
- Knowledge of filing requirements to regulators, i.e., SC/BNM/FIMM.
- Experience in developing product documentation, i.e., brochures, prospectuses, deeds, agreements, forms, and translations.
- A good team player with the ability to work with various internal and external counterparts and able to work under pressure.
- Must be resourceful in accumulating information.
- Highly independent person with a sense of urgency, responsibility, and result-oriented mindset.
- Possesses project management and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Possesses strong business writing skills, analytical skills, and good presentation skills.
