Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible in executing the strategies and initiatives to support the LEAP 25 strategic objectives in advancing the social finance and gift financial intermediation. This involves offering and generating positive social impacts to the Sadaqa House stakeholders, ranging from the federal and state agencies, states Islamic religious councils, underserved segments as well as the community as a whole.

 

Business Excellence

  • Prepare and coordinate reports and/ or strategic papers to the respective oversighting in orderly manner within reasonable time frame.
  • Assist in maintaining, review and enhance the governance and controls of Sadaqa House, which includes guidelines, operational manuals related thereto and other related matters.
  • Assist in reviewing and revising the existing Change Makers on an annual basis for Sadaqa House initiatives.
  • Assist with the promotion and visibility of social finance initiatives under Sadaqa House in accordance with the Bank guidelines.
  • Assist in process improvement/enhancement of Social Finance Division operation and strategy

 

Finance

  • Prepare financial reporting and summary of Sadaqa House collection and distribution for Sadaqa House & Zakat Committee.
  • Management of accounts under Sadaqa House including monitoring and maintaining accurate records of collection, distribution and investment of Sadaqa House funds.
  • Assist in facilitate business zakat payments to all State Zakat Authorities (SZA) and event coordination for official Zakat Handover.
  • Ensure good management of Wakalah zakat refund including the distribution report of Wakalah zakat refund to SZA.
  • Facilitate fund disbursement to the approved beneficiaries of Sadaqa House including the distribution of Wakalah zakat refund to asnaf recipients in compliance with SZA’s parameters.
  • Prepare financial report for the annual Sadaqa House Impact Report

 

Others

  • To complete own Individual Development Plan (IDP) as well as other learning and development programs as per HR requirements.
  • Any other strategic matters and tasks assigned by Director, Social Finance from time to time.

 

Qualification

Recognized degree in accounting, finance or related field.

 

Years of Experience

Experience in banking industry especially in social finance would be an advantage.

 

Specific Skills/Knowledge and Certification Required

  • Having a fundamental understanding on Islamic finance and social models and products.
  • Excellent communication to interact with clients, customers, colleagues, change makers etc.
  • Ability to work with people of diverse skill sets and professional backgrounds to achieve the division’s goals.
  • Experience of working in a fast-moving business environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, deliver accurate and consistent works.
  • Experience of investigating, analyzing, and researching a variety of different processes and offering practical improvements and solutions.
