Branch Manager, Chukai Branch
Summary
The Branch Manager is responsible for managing the overall operations of the branch, focusing on driving the growth of deposit products, fee-based services, and investment offerings. The role involves overseeing branch sales, customer service, compliance, and team performance while ensuring the branch meets or exceeds its financial targets. The Branch Manager will develop strategies to grow customer relationships, generate fee-based revenue, and maximize the sale of investment products, all while maintaining the highest standards of service and compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Branch Operations and Management:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and adherence to banking policies and procedures.
- Supervise, train, and motivate branch staff to provide excellent customer service and achieve branch objectives.
- Manage branch resources, including staffing, scheduling, and operational costs, to ensure profitability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements, including cash management and security.
2. Deposit Product Sales & Growth:
- Drive the acquisition and growth of deposit accounts (e.g., savings, current accounts, fixed deposits) through targeted sales strategies and customer outreach.
- Design and execute campaigns that promote deposit products to new and existing customers.
- Monitor and analyze deposit product performance, adjust strategies as needed to meet targets, and provide staff with the tools and support needed for success.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market trends and competitor products to offer competitive and relevant deposit solutions.
3. Fee-Based Services Revenue:
- Identify opportunities to increase fee-based income by cross-selling products
- Educate customers on available fee-based services, ensuring that they are fully informed about their options and the value these services provide.
- Work closely with the operations team to streamline the delivery of fee-based services and ensure operational efficiency.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, acting as their primary point of contact for banking, investment, and financial needs.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by resolving complaints, addressing concerns, and providing solutions to enhance the overall banking experience.
- Conduct regular follow-up meetings with key customers to assess their evolving needs and identify cross-sell or upsell opportunities.
5. Sales Target Achievement & Performance Management:
- Lead the branch team in achieving sales and performance targets, particularly in deposit product sales, fee-based services, and investment products.
- Monitor individual and team performance and provide coaching, guidance, and motivation to ensure all staff members meet or exceed goals.
- Develop and implement action plans to address performance gaps, optimize sales strategies, and drive results.
6. Compliance, Risk Management & Internal Controls:
- Ensure all branch activities related to deposit, investment, and fee-based products comply with legal, regulatory, and internal policies.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks related to operational processes, customer transactions, and product offerings.
- Educate staff on anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC), and other compliance standards related to banking products and services.
Job Requirements
1. Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in retail banking or financial services, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record in sales, particularly in deposit products, fee-based services, and investment products.
- Solid understanding of financial markets, investment products, and banking operations.
