Branch Manager (Nationwide)
Summary
Responsible for planning and overseeing business activities, branch operations and administration. To support the Bank in achieving its Business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with the Bank strategy and mission towards achieving customer centricity, whilst enforcing internal controls and risk management to ensure mitigation of risk and adherence to compliance standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Financial

Monitor and manage branch Profit & Loss to increase revenue via growth in deposit, fee based, gold, Ar-Rahnu and financing products.

To drive branch under his/her supervision, ensure on-going monitoring of target achievements and report progress periodically to the region office.

To ensure optimum penetration rate by tracking and monitoring sales performance for each business partner to accelerate business growth.

Manage branch asset quality and performance within the budgeted threshold set by the management.

Manage and maintain existing customer relationships, especially on high net-worth customers, as well as develop new relationships to increase the branch asset portfolio as per the budgeted asset position.

Manage the branch expenditure with proactive cost control effort and initiatives to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
2. Business & Strategies Execution

Develop, implement business plans, and conduct market intelligence for the branch in line with the strategic business plans set by the management.

To communicate strategic business plans within the branch and identify business opportunities to assist the relevant business units to achieve business targets.

To coordinate monthly branch meeting.

Ensure integration of business effort and sales culture across the Branch.

Identify areas of improvement needed and devise relevant plans to improve operational efficiency.

To work closely with RBCs, and Regional Office to execute strategic business alliance plans and ensure consistent synergy to elevate Bank’s profitability and business sustainability.
3. Risk & Compliance
-
Accountable for branch overall performance on audits and compliance including Anti Bribery Management System (ABMS) in line with the Bank’s policy, standard and procedures and other regulatory requirements.

Stringent compliance of all regulatory requirements and guidelines especially on major directive on compliance by Bank Negara Malaysia.

Act as Risk Controller (RC) and Designated Compliance Relationship Officer (DCORO) of the branch.

To escalate, track and update on fraud cases reported within specified timeframe.
4. Customers

To drive the Next Best Product (NBP) approach in elevating the customer experiences across platforms and channels to increase product holding and expand the wallet share per customer at Branch Level.

To drive subordinates in promoting sales and customer centric culture in the branch.

Responsible to acquire new customers and nurture a new customer base.

Demonstrate and drive subordinates to the highest level of professionalism and efficiency in handling and resolving customers’ complaints and issues to maximize long-term profitable relationships with customers.
5. People Management & Development

Ensure sufficient staffing and effective manpower supply to support the business and operational requirements for the branch.

Interact directly with subordinates under his/her purview to promote learning and self-development culture amongst the branches which include productivity, training, recruitment, and talent mobility.

Coaching and guidance to develop existing staff force to be groomed as a potential leader and as part of succession planning and career enhancement initiatives.
