  • Facilitating the gathering of detailed business and data requirements for all banking systems to be implemented by CDX, with a focus on regulatory and compliance matters.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper user requirements specifications.  User requirements specifications are not limited to product features, system & process flows, GL and accounting entries, reports and statements and integration requirements.
  • Document business processes through workflow design, training procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Troubleshoot applications and coordination of issue resolution. Work with vendors as needed for problem resolution and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist in implementation and configuration of software in all environments, perform testing, validations, fine tuning, and application documentation.
  • Assist in developing user documentation, writing requirements for system changes and departmental policies and procedures that impact the use of application systems.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert i.e. Product Owner on the specified system(s) or application(s) and serve as a point of contact between the business users and the engineering team.
  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Any other duties/assignment as and when directed/assigned by the superior as per business requirement from time to time.
  • Provide support to testers to ensure all defined business needs and functionality requirements have been met.
  • Assist tester team in translating requirements into test conditions and expected results for product testing.
  • Develop and communicate the long-term vision for the product/platform, ensuring it aligns with business goals.
  • Set clear objectives for the product/platform, focusing on scalability, reliability, and functionality.
  • Prioritise features based on business value, user needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Create and maintain the product backlog, which includes platform features, improvements, and bug fixes.
  • Prioritise backlog items to ensure the most important features are developed first.
  • Work closely with engineering and design teams to provide guidance and clarification on requirements throughout the development process.
  • Continuously analyze the market, competitors, and industry trends to keep the platform relevant and competitive.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance platform functionality or integrate with other tools and systems.

 

Qualification

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant role
  • Bachelor’s degree in business analysis, processes, procedures, project management, multiple technologies, frameworks or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
  • Knowledge of general business processes and functions in the banking industry
  • Working knowledge of business systems and applications, incident and change management, project and systems management.

Years of Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a bank and/or similar role

Specific Skills / Knowledge and Certification Required

  • Great communication skills, verbal and written
  • Mid-level proficiency in MS Excel
  • Mid-level proficiency in MS Excel
  • Knowledge of Islamic banking products, services and operations
  • Solid analytical, organizational, trouble shooting and problem solution skills
