Job Description: 

Financial

  • To achieve trading target set for Proprietary Trading Desk and self.
  • To optimize balances in NOSTRO agents.

Accountabilities

  • To ensure the trading target set for FX Trading Desk and self are achieved.
  • To invest / cover any excesses/shortfall in NOSTRO accounts for maximization of profit.

Business and Strategy Execution

  • Familiarize self with proper product knowledge and technical skills.

Accountabilities

  • To assist Head of FX Trading and the team in matters relevant to Job Functions.
  • To uphold integrity and professionalism in the conduct of business, affairs and activities, including all aspects of treasury operations and activities.

 

Risk and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance to all internal policies/guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure Trading and stop loss limits are complied.
  • To ensure all dealings are concluded based on Shariah compliant contracts that have been approved by the Shariah Advisory Council.
  • To be responsible and accountable to all the transactions concluded and in conducting the daily business activities.

Accountabilities

  • To adhere to the trading & stop-loss limits assigned by the Treasurer.
  • To ensure compliance to all relevant policies, guidelines and rules and observe that rules policies and guidelines are not breached.
  • To ensure all interbank deals are uploaded in ROMS on time

 

Customers

  • To compile/update market data and commentary for in-house publication

Accountabilities

  • To compile/update market data and commentary for in-house publication.
  •  To ensure NOP & P/L are submitted on time.
  • To maintain positive rapport with Interbank, Corporate Counterparties and Bank Negara Malaysia.

 

People Management & Development

  • Adhere to bank’s policies as well as BNM/Markets code of conduct and best practices.

Accountabilities

  • To meet minimum external training requirements and are up to date with market development and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete the Individual Development Plan (IDP), as set by HR-mandatory e-learning, the minimum 16 hours of training, attain 38 CPD hours and completion of all three categories of IDP ie. Technical, Leadership and Soft skills.
