Job Description: 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for efficiency improvement. 
  • Analyze financial data, trends, and key performance indicators to provide actionable insights for cost reduction strategies.
  • Evaluate the financial viability and ROI of initiatives, process improvements, and transformation programs. [such as from the on-going collaborated projects]
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop and manage budgets aligned with the cost reduction program.
  • Overseeing the budget performance and provide clear reporting to stakeholders, while maintaining effective mechanisms to track and control expenses and recommending timely corrective actions where needed.
  • Regularly review expenditures, identifying discrepancies and proposing corrective measures to ensure adherence to cost reduction goals.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to streamline processes and reduce inefficiencies with financial impact.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate financial validation into initiative tracking.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and efficiency measures.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for cost-reduction initiatives and provide recommendations to mitigate financial risks while working closely with the risk management team to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • To oversee and support the execution of developed business strategic roadmap based on business objectives and Bank’s direction.
  • Work closely with the relevant stakeholders to ensure projects/ division milestones/ goals reported in the Business Plan are met timely and adhering to approved budget.
  • Perform follow-up with the relevant stakeholders and oversee the execution of all action plans.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to all internal policies/ guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
  • To ensure process and procedures implemented are in line with the Bank’s policy, standards and procedures and other regulatory requirements including Compliance requirement.
  • Any other duties/assignment as and when directed/assigned by the Senior Vice President Business Strategy & Intelligence or Senior management within the division.
  • Engaging with 3rd party or Vendors as and when for any project related.
  • Involve in special project (if required).

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, cost management, or related roles within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Proficient in developing complex financial models to simulate various cost-reduction scenarios.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and derive meaningful insights.

  • Sound understanding of banking operations, financial products, and industry-specific cost structures.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business or a related field.
