Financial Analyst, Strategy & Finance, Group Retail Banking
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for efficiency improvement.
- Analyze financial data, trends, and key performance indicators to provide actionable insights for cost reduction strategies.
- Evaluate the financial viability and ROI of initiatives, process improvements, and transformation programs. [such as from the on-going collaborated projects]
- Collaborate with various departments to develop and manage budgets aligned with the cost reduction program.
- Overseeing the budget performance and provide clear reporting to stakeholders, while maintaining effective mechanisms to track and control expenses and recommending timely corrective actions where needed.
- Regularly review expenditures, identifying discrepancies and proposing corrective measures to ensure adherence to cost reduction goals.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to streamline processes and reduce inefficiencies with financial impact.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate financial validation into initiative tracking.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and efficiency measures.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for cost-reduction initiatives and provide recommendations to mitigate financial risks while working closely with the risk management team to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- To oversee and support the execution of developed business strategic roadmap based on business objectives and Bank’s direction.
- Work closely with the relevant stakeholders to ensure projects/ division milestones/ goals reported in the Business Plan are met timely and adhering to approved budget.
- Perform follow-up with the relevant stakeholders and oversee the execution of all action plans.
- Ensure adherence and compliance to all internal policies/ guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
- To ensure process and procedures implemented are in line with the Bank’s policy, standards and procedures and other regulatory requirements including Compliance requirement.
- Any other duties/assignment as and when directed/assigned by the Senior Vice President Business Strategy & Intelligence or Senior management within the division.
- Engaging with 3rd party or Vendors as and when for any project related.
- Involve in special project (if required).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, cost management, or related roles within the banking or financial services industry.
- Proficient in developing complex financial models to simulate various cost-reduction scenarios.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and derive meaningful insights.

Sound understanding of banking operations, financial products, and industry-specific cost structures.

Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
