Main Function:

 

  1. Origination and execution of Islamic Securities, syndicated financing and project finance transactions.
  2. Identifying and securing corporate advisory opportunities such as privatisation and merger and acquisition for existing and potential clients.

 

Other function:

 

  1. Supervision of subordinates in performance of Main Function.
  2. Ensure adherence and compliance to all internal policies/guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
  3. Any other duties/assignment as and when directed/assigned by the superior as per business requirement from time to time.

1

  • Origination of Islamic Securities, syndicated financing and project finance transactions.

 

  • Identifying and securing corporate advisory opportunities such as privatisation and merger and acquisition for existing and potential clients.
  • Keep abreast of current political, economic, business and market conditions and latest industry developments.
  • Maintain a network of industry contacts and close liaisons with regulatory authorities.
  • Identifying new business opportunities via professional contacts or marketing to clients.
  • Supervise conduct of internal assessment/due diligence on transactions/clients.
  • Supervise review client's requirements and formulation of appropriate transaction structures and terms.
  • Supervise conduct of consultations with regulators, rating agencies, legal counsel and other professional advisors on the feasibility of financing structures.
  • Supervise preparation of and present financing proposals and/or mandate letters to clients to secure mandates and assist in the subsequent negotiation thereof.
  • Ensure mandate letters are duly accepted and returned by the clients.

  • Execution of Islamic Securities, syndicated financing and project finance transactions
  • Supervise/conduct the due diligence process including setting up, coordinating and participating in any Due Diligence Working Group, and ensure it is conducted in a proper manner.
  • Supervise preparation of and present the submission to the Bank's Shariah Supervisory Council (SSC) for approval
    of the proposed transaction structure and terms.
  • Supervise/conduct the credit evaluation process and preparation of and present the credit papers to applicable
    financing committees such as the Underwriting and Investment Committee (UIC), Financing Committee A (FCA) and Board Financing Review Committee (BFRC) for approval.
  • Supervise/conduct the execution processes, including preparation/review of the Information Memorandum, and coordinating Due Diligence Working Group's meetings, and ensure it is conducted in an efficient manner.
  • Supervise/conduct the regulatory approval process, including preparation of submissions to regulatory authorities for approval, and ensure the transaction is in full compliance with all relevant laws, acts, rules, regulations and guidelines.
  • Supervise coordinating the legal documentation process, including assisting the legal counsel in draftinq, perusing and execution of all relevant transaction documents, and ensuring all legal documents are in order prior to utilisation and that the Bank's interests are protected at all times.
  • Supervise administration/monitoring the operation of the accounts originated by the team.

  • Supervision of subordinates in the performance of function and tasks
  • Overall responsibility for the management, administration, operations and performance of the team.
  • Supervise all aspects of subordinates' work throughout the origination and execution process.
  • Ensure the standard of performance of the subordinates remains at the highest level of productivity and professionalism and is in full observance and compliance with the policies and rules and regulations of the Bank and
    relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Assist to conduct of appraisals of subordinates' performance for promotion, compensation and training considerations and promote and foster inter-departmental co-operation and communication.
