Manager, Credit Risk Portfolio Management - Risk Management

Summary

 

Responsible for the analyzing, monitoring, and reporting of the Bank’s credit risk portfolio and other related Credit Risk functions. Ensure the Bank’s relevant exposures are within the approved limits, to highlight any concern and to escalate any non-adherence to the relevant Management and Board Committees for review and deliberation.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  1. Management and Board Reporting
  • Prepare and report the Risk Management & Credit Management Monthly Report (at portfolio level) to Management Risk Control Committee (MRCC), Board Risk Committee (BRC), Board of Directors (BOD) and any other relevant Committees.
  • Develop, assess, and improve the credit risk reports for improvement based on the updated BNM/ BASEL requirements and the Bank’s latest portfolio mix.
  • Perform industry comparison on the Bank’s performance against peers and industry.
  • Prepare the Emerging Risk Report on credit risk and assess the impact on the Bank’s credit portfolio exposures and asset quality.

 

  1. Risk Appetite Statement (RAS)
  • Performs annual review of the RAS Policy.
  • Performs half-yearly monitoring on the relevant business conducts.
  • Review of Malaysian Sector Outlook as part of the RAS.

 

  1. Post-Mortem Review of Consumer Portfolio
  • Perform comprehensive review of Consumer portfolio risk profiles by product, asset growth, asset quality, rating distributions, package concentration and identification of concern and assesses the portfolio asset quality and highlighting significant credit risk issue and trends to the relevant Risk Committees.

 

  1. Pillar 3 Disclosure
  • Analyse the changes and major movement of Pillar 3 Disclosure on the credit quality of gross financing and asset quality on a half-yearly basis.

 

  1. Other Tasks
  • Review of policies, guidelines and any committee papers related to credit risk from other stakeholders, as and when required.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to all internal policies/guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
  • Assist/ Support in meeting Departmental KPIs.
  • Assist in providing support to the subsidiaries (i.e., BIMB Investment and BIMB Securities).
  • Any other duties/assignment as and when directed/assigned by the superior as per business requirement from time to time.
