Manager, Credit Risk Portfolio Mgmt
Summary
Responsible for analysing, monitoring and reporting the Bank’s credit profile at the portfolio level to ensure that exposures remain within approved limits. This includes highlighting any concerns and escalating instances of non-adherence to the relevant Management and Board Committees for review and deliberation. Additionally, responsible for developing and reviewing the Group Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) Policy, Group Enterprise-Wide Risk Management (ERM) Policy, and other related Credit Risk functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Management and Board Reporting
- Prepares, analyses and reviews the monthly credit risk report for submission to the Management and Board Committees, as well as other reports as required.
- Responsible for consolidating the monthly risk report, which covers all areas of risk including capital adequacy, market risk and non-financial risk for submission to the Management and Board Committees.
- Continuously enhances credit risk reports based on updated BNM/BASEL requirements and the Bank’s latest portfolio mix to drive improvements.
- Ensure timely submission of the monthly risk report to Bank Negara Malaysia, as well as to the Management and Board Committees on a periodic basis.
- Prepares emerging risk impact analysis on the Bank’s credit profile at the portfolio level jointly with the Chief Economist and the Group Credit Management Division for submission to the Board Committees as and when required.
- Group Enterprise-Wide Risk Management (ERM) Policy
- Performs a biennial review of the Group ERM Policy for submission to the Management and Board Committees.
- Group Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) Policy
- Performs an annual review of the Group RAS Policy for submission to the Management and Board Committees.
- Performs half-yearly monitoring of the Group’s compliance with the Group RAS Policy for submission to Board Committee.
- Consumer Portfolio Review
- Analyses the Consumer portfolio which includes detailed analysis by growth, asset quality, rating profile etc. to determine if there are changes in the portfolio trend and mix, credit quality, as well as segments with potential problems to ensure its alignment with the approved Retail Assets strategy and the Group’s risk appetite statement for submission to the Management and Board Committees.
- Embrace AI-driven solutions for the Consumer Portfolio review including predictive analysis.
- Pillar 3 Disclosure
- Analyses the changes and major movements in the Pillar 3 Disclosure on the credit quality of gross financing and asset quality on a half-yearly basis.
- Other Tasks
- Reviews policies, guidelines and any committee papers related to credit risk from other stakeholders, as and when required.
- Provides support to subsidiaries, as and when required.
- Liaises and follows up with Business Units to obtain relevant information and data for analysis purposes.
- Ensures adherence to all internal policies, guidelines, and external regulatory requirements.
- Performs any other duties or assignments as directed by the Head of Department, in line with business requirements from time to time.
