Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, monitoring, and control of deposit rates for Corporate Deposits to ensure consistency with the bank’s funding plan and approved budget rate.
- Conduct in-depth performance analysis of Corporate Deposits, tracking actual results against budget, forecast, and projections, and identifying key variances and drivers.
- Prepare and present performance updates and strategic inputs for senior management meetings including GMEC, ALCO, Divisional Performance Reviews, and MOC sessions.
- Collaborate with the Finance Division to support deposit funding plan projections and provide insights into strategies to meet financial targets.
- Coordinate with Treasury, Market Risk, CBSM, and other business units to support liquidity management and integrated funding strategies.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of proposals to ALCO, ensuring data accuracy and strategic relevance.
- Provide detailed analytical reports and performance insights related to Corporate Deposit operations, contributing to informed decision-making.
- Address queries from regulatory units regarding deposit projections and funding strategies, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.
- Undertake special assignments and ad hoc duties as delegated by superiors, in alignment with evolving business needs.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, risk management frameworks, and external regulatory requirements in all planning and performance activities.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CFA) or postgraduate degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in banking, finance, or corporate planning, preferably within a deposit or treasury function.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
- Solid understanding of bank funding structures, liquidity management, and deposit products.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Business Units.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and present complex data clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to funding and liquidity management is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to proactively contribute to strategic discussions.
