Summary

The Senior Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of a comprehensive cost-reduction program aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives. This role requires expertise in process optimization, project management, and change management to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure seamless organizational transitions. The Senior Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, oversee resource allocation, manage risks, and implement change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of cost-reduction initiatives.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement a structured cost-reduction program aligned with the bank’s strategic goals.
  • Define program scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management.
  • Ensure cost-reduction initiatives support long-term business sustainability and growth.
  • Work closely with various departments to drive cost-efficiency initiatives.
  • Ensure seamless integration and execution of cost-saving measures across business units.
  • Foster strong stakeholder engagement to drive alignment and support.
  • Oversee and manage budget, personnel, and technology resources to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure resources are allocated effectively to achieve cost-reduction targets.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges that could impact the cost-reduction program.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Provide senior management with regular, data-driven reports and presentations on progress and impact.
  • Develop and execute change management strategies to drive adoption of cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to manage resistance and ensure a smooth transition.
  • Work closely with HR to address employee concerns and foster a positive organizational culture.
  • Implement quality control processes to ensure initiatives meet established standards and objectives.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accountancy, Engineering, or a related field.

Years of Experience

  • 8 – 10 years

Specific Skills/Knowledge and Certification Required

  • Extensive experience in program management, including planning, execution, and monitoring.

 

  • Familiarity with program management methodologies and frameworks.

 

  • Strong financial analysis skills and an understanding of financial principles related to cost reduction.

 

  • Ability to think strategically and align cost reduction initiatives with overall business goals.

 

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams toward common goals.

 

  • Strong leadership qualities to inspire and motivate teams.
