  • Responsible for asset quality, and portfolio profitability of products under the Retail Assets division which includes Personal Financing (PF), House & Fixed Assets Financing (HFA), Vehicle Financing, and Ar-Rahnu.  The incumbent is expected to optimize credit underwriting standard as a lever to balance the business strategic imperatives in driving growth vs profitability (net of Expected Credit Loss).

 

  • Responsible to develop and manage an analysis in the area of new onboarded customer segmentation analysis and monitor segments performance and identify emerging risks and opportunities, monitor portfolio segmentation performance, develop and monitor credit and product deviation analysis to identify emerging credit risks and business opportunities and, provide oversight and feedback on collection and recovery performance.

 

  • Provide analytical insight/review of the business strategies to ensure the initiative is effectively executed in line with the Bank’s strategic direction and overall bank’s risk appetite.
    • Assist and collaborate with product manager under the Retail Assets division to offer analytic review on the product performance, segment profiling review, and if required to ensure the products/ business growth meet the business objectives.
    • To provide necessary feedback / analytical review on new business proposals or initiatives to ensure the value propositions meet and align with the bank’s risk preference, credit policy & guideline.
    • Establish proper monitoring for new onboarded customer segmentation, monitor credit and product deviation analysis to identify emerging credit risks and business opportunities using advanced analytic tool (e.g.: SAS Base/SAS EG).
    • Engage and collaborate with other cross functional departments as representative to feedback on the business analytic point of view.

 

  • Contribute to the overall target and performance to achieve the annual budget in PBZT (net of ECL) and meeting the Gross Impaired Financing Ratios budget.
    • Optimize credit underwriting/policy criteria to maximize revenues by regular analyses of credit parameters to identify opportunities for regularization. 
    • Identify high credit and emerging credit risks to manage GIF and provide early insight to management for corrective actions, if any.
    • Oversight of Credit MFRS9  movements to manage ECL by providing necessary feedback to Collection and Recovery. 
    • Monitor and review the bookings trend to ensure optimal targeting of the correct customer profiles, thus improving the  booking quality and minimize potential losses/GIF.
    • Change management on inculcating the importance of credit within Retail Assets Division and Retail Banking Distribution..

 

 

  • Enforce internal controls and risk management to ensure mitigation of risk and adherence to the Bank/Regulatory compliance standards.
    • Ensure adherence and compliance to all internal and external regulatory requirements, and policies/guidelines.
    • To review and identify any potential process / credit policy gaps across retail asset portfolios and propose an appropriate action plan to manage the gap and strengthen retail assets portfolio quality and service deliverables.

 

 

  • Provide excellent service delivery to internal and external customers/stakeholders.
    • Find opportunities to simplify customer journeys from credit perspectives which include simplified assessments, and documentation requirements.
    • Engage and collaborate with other departments on matters relating to MIS report/access to bank wide database/ perform data analytics/product performance for Retail Asset.

 

Job Specification

 

  • More than 5 years’ experience in banking industry with at least 3 years in managerial function and 3 years’ experience in credit portfolio management particularly in lending products.
  • Proficiency in credit data analytics
  • Analytically inclined in optimizing the portfolio profitability
  • Robust product knowledge and industry practice
  • Be an assertive and innovative team player, highly independent, committed, self-motivated, resourceful and result-oriented. 
  • Experience of working in fast-moving business environment. 
  • Ability to network across a variety of functions at various levels and countries.
  • Ability to multi-task, highly numerate with great attention to detail.
  • Exposure and oversight in credit, risk, compliance, recovery, and finance (MFRS9)
